Engage Initiative

Team members Jason and Lynne recently met with Dr. Kelly Irwin and Shukriyah Brown of Engage Initiative, a Catholic Health Foundation grant recipient, to hear about some of their successes and challenges. Dr. Kelly Irwin is Director, Collaborative Care and Community Engagement Program and Project Lead for Engage Initiative and Shukriyah Brown is a Community Health Navigator for the program. The purpose of Engage Initiative is to promote equity in cancer care for patients affected by mental illness, and to support their families and caregivers. Since its inception, the Catholic Health Foundation has provided $115,000 in grant funding to support the program.
