Trying to figure out whether ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Perplexity is the right AI tool?

The truth is there isn’t one “best” AI tool.

Just like we use different apps for different parts of life, AI tools have different strengths too. Understanding what each one does well can save time, reduce frustration, and help us choose the right tool for the job.

Sam Altman has argued for years that one way humans could keep up with advanced AI is by increasing the connection between people and machines through brain computer interfaces.

That idea has moved beyond theory with the launch of Merge Labs, a neurotechnology company backed by investors including OpenAI and Gabe Newell. Unlike Neuralink, the company is focused on a non invasive approach that does not require brain surgery.

The goal is simple but ambitious: allow people to communicate with computers using thought alone, creating a much faster link between human intent and AI systems.

The workers losing their jobs right now are not the ones who never touched AI.
They are the ones who used it every day without ever learning how it fails.
There is a gap between knowing how to open a chatbot and knowing when to trust what it gives you back. Most people have the first. Almost nobody has the second. Right now, that gap is the difference between staying employed and being the easiest cut on the list.
What you are risking if you stay where you are:

→ Your manager cannot tell your work apart from someone who copies and pastes for a living
→ You have no way to catch errors before they reach someone who matters
→ The next round of hires coming in are younger, AI-native, and cheaper than you
→ You will not be replaced by AI. You will be replaced by someone who knows how to use it
That last one is not a warning. It is already the conversation happening in boardrooms this quarter.

The skills that protect your job are learnable.

They take 15 minutes a day. And they are free right now.

Most parents will teach their children to look both ways before crossing a street.
Almost none will teach them what to do when AI tells them something wrong.
Your child is already using it. They started without you. And the habits forming right now, in the absence of your guidance, are the habits that will follow them into their education, their first job, and every deadline they face under pressure.
The window where your voice is louder than their phone is not years long. It is months.
What you lose if you wait:

→ Your child learns to skip thinking before you ever get the chance to explain why thinking matters
→ The habit of outsourcing their own ideas gets reinforced every single day you do not address it
→ Their teacher catches the problem before you do
→ By the time you notice, the habits are already set
You do not have to ban AI from your home. You do not have to become a tech expert.
You just need to get there first.

ChatGPT’s parent company says it’s preparing to go public.

That sounds like business news, but it could affect how families experience AI tools over time.

If AI is becoming part of routines for homework help, meal planning, school communication, and everyday questions, it’s worth understanding how these platforms make money and why “free” products often change.

AI literacy isn’t about becoming a tech expert.

It’s about understanding the tools our families are already using.

What do you think happens to free AI tools when investors want growth?

Satya Nadella pushed back on concerns about data center water usage, explaining that modern facilities increasingly rely on closed loop cooling systems that recycle water rather than consuming it continuously.

According to Nadella, once the cooling loop is filled, the system can operate with very little additional water.

He said the annual water usage of some data centers is roughly comparable to that of a single restaurant.

Companies are investing heavily in new cooling and power systems to reduce energy loss and resource consumption as demand for compute continues to grow.
