Today Gov. Healey celebrated Jewish American Heritage Month, joined by Massachusetts Jewish community leaders, Treasurer Deborah Goldberg, Senate President Karen Spilka, and other administration officials. The event recognized the contributions of the Jewish community in Massachusetts. The Office of the Governor featured an art installation by Boston-based Jewish photographer Ilene Pearlman, whose collection shows the diversity of Jewish communities around the world.
During her remarks to acknowledge attendees in the room, Governor Healey said, “The Jewish community has always been there in, and for, our state; and we must always be there for you ... We will call out antisemitism wherever we see it, and we will stamp out antisemitism wherever it rears its ugly head.”
