I’ve always struggled with my big emotions. I judged them because they scared me. The greatest relief is alchemizing them into music.

And then releasing my music gets me into big emotions and I have a tendency to freeze. But frozen in motion. Always in motion …

I’m facing my resistance head on and feeling all the little clenches that come from facing fears.

Not a fear of judgment , but a fear of painful patterns repeating themselves. The pain of doing everything by yourself in an industry that is always changing. Of navigating a capricious algorithm and marketing games. The confusion of having no idea where you fit and how to reach people.

Or what my fu***ng sub genres are and what “famous people do I sound like?”.

I’m working on a new lens and a new attitude, but for now this is my truth and maybe someone feels the same way and this makes you feel a little less alone.

Being a singer in the age of social media is a double-edged sword. It offers incredible exposure and opportunity—but it also makes it easy to fall into the comparison trap. With access to a constant stream of talent at our fingertips, it’s hard not to focus on where we think we fall short.

Maybe you don’t belt, hit whistle tones, or riff. But your voice is still beautiful, unique, and worthy of being expressed and heard regardless of advanced skills and party tricks.

Your voice can still tell a story that no one else can tell like you. Your voice carries YOUR truth and YOU soul frequency. And that is worthy of being heard 🩵
