There are certain scents that simply belong to summer. That’s exactly why I’m excited to welcome Lanikai and Outrigger back for another season. While both are inspired by the Hawaiian Islands, they each offer a different take on summer.
Lanikai is smooth, creamy and tropical with notes of lemon, lime, orange, vanilla and coconut.
Outrigger is warm, orange-forward and nostalgic with a blend of orange, coconut, citrus and vanilla.
Two different personalities. One shared love of summer. Which one are you reaching for?
One of the questions I hear often is, “How do I apply beard balm?”
The answer depends on your beard.
During the summer, I keep my beard shorter and more refined, so I use a smaller amount than I would during the winter. The goal isn’t to coat your beard in product. It’s to use just enough to add the control and shape you’re looking for.
In today’s routine, I’m using Maui Gold Premium Beard Balm, back for its 11th summer with its signature blend of lemon, lime and coconut.
Every beard is different. Learn yours, adjust your routine accordingly and you’ll get far better results than simply following the same routine year-round.
A proper mustache takes time. It’s been about four weeks getting this from above the lip to over the lip. During that process, I’ve only been making very small maintenance trims to keep things growing in the right direction while preventing rough split ends from taking hold.
Beyond that, a lot of the work comes down to training the mustache. Mustache wax, a comb and even using your fingers throughout the day can help guide the shape and encourage the hairs to lay properly over time.
The awkward stages are part of the journey. Stay patient with it. When in doubt, grow it out.
