American Ancestors

To commemorate Juneteenth, the Special Collections team at American Ancestors has been putting together a digital collection that highlights manuscripts and photographs that document people who were enslaved in the United States and their descendants. The new 10 Million Names collection features plantation records, family papers, bible records, deeds of sale, and photographs related to enslaved and free people of African descent that are held in American Ancestors' manuscript repository.
