IGEM Strasbourg

Pour cette nouvelle édition, iGEM Strasbourg souhaite répondre à une problématique environnementale actuelle : la pollution des eaux de consommation. Pour cela, nous souhaitons confectionner un kit de détection rapide et sensible reposant sur l’interaction du polluant avec un aptamère. Afin de répondre à la campagne nationale « Villes et Territoires sans Perturbateurs Endocriniens », nous envisageons la détection d’un polluant entrainant des effets indésirables endocriniens.👩‍🔬👨‍🔬🧪

This year’s team goal is to address a prevailing environmental problem: the pollution of drinking water. In order to do so, we plan to construct a fast and sensitive detection kit, whose function relies on the interaction between a targeted pollutant and a specific aptamer. In accordance with the national campaign “Cities and Territories without Endocrine Disruptors”, we intend to detect a pollutant causing undesirable endocrine effects. 👩‍🔬👨‍🔬🧪

We did it ! We just finished our presentation at the Giant Jmboree in Boston !
