I’m incredibly excited and looking forward to welcoming a new member onto the team!

I’m currently looking for someone to take on a few leash walks a day and allow us to have more flexibility with our midday scheduling. Ideally I’m looking for someone who can make themselves available between the hours of 10AM and 2PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with the goal of adding more dogs/responsibilities/work with time and experience.

Requirements:

1. Be able to get around South Boston independently in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
2. Pass a background check before entering clients homes.
3. Must have experience working with dogs. Whether that be through prior work or you own personal life, it’s incredibly important to be able to identify dog behaviors and triggers and act accordingly when responsible for caring for someone else’s furry family member.

Meet Walker! Walker is an old pal to some of our midday playgroup pups. When he hit us up needing a walking buddy in the afternoon we were THRILLED! walker is a gentle giant and as sweet as can be. He’s already showed me all of the shops on Broadway that he can barter a few treats from on his walk. What a character! If you see us in your travels be sure to toss a couple of treats his way. He deserves them!

We have a new friend! Meet Leo. This fluffy guy had his first playgroup today and boy is he making it count. He’s not going to let a little rain slow him down or stop him from showing off his impressive grasp of commands. What a handsome pup! Welcome to the pack, Leo. We’re lucky to have you!!!

These days are the worst part of this job. My poor buddy maverick suddenly passed away last night. Maverick was the best way to start my day. Every single work day I would be greeted with a wagging tail, a goofy smile, and one ear standing at attention. The love that these animals give me is something that I will never ever take for granted, and I’m grateful to have been able to spend as much time with maverick as I did. This guy helped me through 2020 which turned out to be one of the hardest years of my life. Even on the worst days I could count on a few minutes of peace with my main man maverick. You’re the best buddy, and all of the neighborhood dogs are going to miss you yelling at them. Love ya Maverick! You were a wonderful friend to me.
