Think about it for a second.
When was the last time you sat with a decision, not reacted to circumstances, not defaulted to what was expected, not chosen what was easiest in the moment, but actually made a conscious, deliberate choice about the direction of your life?
Most people haven’t.
Not because they’re careless or unmotivated.
Because autopilot is what happens when the nervous system has been in survival mode for too long. When there’s too much to manage and not enough stillness to hear yourself think.
And when autopilot runs long enough, you stop noticing it.
You mistake routine for intention.
You mistake keeping up for moving forward.
You mistake busy for purposeful.
The most powerful shift I made, and what I now teach inside Awaken, was learning to pause long enough to hear the difference.
What you do after that pause is where your real life begins.

Someone asked me recently how to know the difference between intuition and fear.
Here’s what I’ve learned: fear is loud and global. It feels tight in the body. Like you can’t exhale fully. Like there’s a pit in your stomach. It says everyone is dangerous, nothing is safe, trust no one.
Discernment is quiet and specific. It says this particular moment, with this particular person, doesn’t feel aligned. It feels off. You’re allowed to notice that without making it mean something about everyone else.
That distinction matters because so many of us were taught that noticing red flags makes us negative or untrusting. So we override it. We talk ourselves out of what we sensed because it feels safer to assume the best than to trust our own read of a room.
But the more connected you are to yourself, the easier it becomes to tell the difference between old fear and real information. That clarity becomes available with presence and awareness.
It’s something you build with one honored instinct at a time.
