I miss you.

It’s not enough for me that you beat the odds. I truly believed that you were gonna somehow grow old with all of us. There were so many milestones I wanted us to reach together. I wanted to teach you how to drive. I wanted you to be my best man. I wanted to watch you graduate high school. The scary thing about miracles is you never know when you’ve run out of them. Call it foolish pride if you will, but I sincerely thought that you had all that time. I got to watch you spend your whole life making my belief in you grow stronger and stronger. Everything felt so…normal. There was nobody funnier than you. There’s no way the amount of candid pics you got of all of us over the years is legal 😂 don’t think we didn’t get any of you!

Truth be told, we lost you fr the day you went into cardiac arrest. We just love you so much that we had to give you the chance to maybe get one more miracle. I wasn’t there physically when it happened, but the whole thing won’t stop replaying in my head. I hate that you had to go that way baby boy. It’s not fair. I wish you’d come bacc and just roast all of us for being so emotional. I keep on telling Solía that you’re with Juju now. She’s been asking about you for the whole month 🥲

Idk how ima make peace with this s**t, but for you Brandon, I can promise to spend everyday of my life trying. The same way you fought for your life everyday. For you, I will never break. Thank you for everything. You made us all so proud. Let Juju know that nobody’s made better pikliz than her yet. I owe you a basketball game when we meet again. I love you.
