The growth of girls and women’s hockey over the last several years has been nothing but extra extraordinary, but rest assured we’re just getting started! 

USA Hockey has reached 100,000 registered female players! Today we celebrated the moment and welcomed the 100,000th player, 13-year-old Joanna Gilligan from Millcreek, Utah, who plays in the Utah Mammoth's new all-girls league.

Great idea from the Orlando Solar Bears! I’ve seen any number of tribute jerseys in the hockey world and they are a great way to raise awareness or in some cases raise money for a good cause, but this is the first jersey I’ve seen celebrating women in hockey. Let’s help this idea spread around the hockey world and recognize and celebrate the women that are helping to make hockey such an amazing sport.

That’s some elite company for Celebrini. With players like this coming onto the national stage, hockey is going to continue to grow in the coming years.

Celebrini is the fourth teen in NHL history to reach 40 points in 27 or fewer games, joining Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux and Sidney Crosby. 👏
