“The Maw” is the first new release in five years from Denton based symphonic blackened death artist, Duskseeker. Building off the neo-romantic ethereal sound of 2021’s “Spiralscape”, Duskseeker turns up the frenetic energy on “The Maw” and unleashes an unrelenting barrage of riffs underpinned by soaring synth-work and shrieking vocals. The EP brings together a wide array of influences both culturally and sonically–gnosticism, cyberwarfare, 90’s video game lore, Nobuo Uematsu Final Fantasy soundtracks, “Painkiller” era Judas Priest, and the early NAP roster–and synthesizes them to create a frantically paced score for a kaleidoscopic bossfight in a tech-noir hell.

All digital sales and $2 from every Lasiurus Cinereus "Vesper" tape sold is being donated to Batworld Sanctuary, a non-profit accredited sanctuary providing rescue & lifetime care for orphaned and injured bats.
