"This weekend, the UW Bothell IEEE student branch had the incredible opportunity to tour one of Puget Sound Energy’s key renewable energy projects, the Wild Horse Wind and Solar Facility in Ellensburg.
We visited the Renewable Energy Center and toured around the facility, learning so much about the inner workings of wind turbines and even stepping inside a few! This experience has truly deepened our understanding of renewable energy technologies.
Special thanks to Dr. Mahmoud Ghofrani for making this possible and to the amazing team at the facility for their insightful tour. Lastly, thanks to Joe Decuir for being our faculty chaperone!
Earlier this month, Dr. Ghofrani proposed our student branch to do this tour, so I organized it and we took advantage of that opportunity."
