Hello Sing with Josh Family!
I’ve always been a performer, a singer, an actor, storyteller. It’s part of the tapestry of my being.
When I get down, I turn to music - to singing.
Here’s a recording of me singing and playing piano on Hard Times Come Again No More.
Published in 1854 and written by Stephen Foster, Hard Times is a song that speaks of the grief and tragic experiences of the human condition.
It wafts in and out of my life during the hard times, and it brings me... not so much relief, but allows me to sort of sit in the hard times, to be aware of it, and to breathe through it in song.
It's one of my favorite tunes.
