ITB syndrome is one of those injuries that shows up in runners over and over, and it’s usually a hip strength issue more than anything happening at the knee itself.
Three exercises we like for building that stability back:
🔹 Modified side plank hip abduction
🔹 Lateral step down
🔹 Banded bridge hold with marching
These target the hip abductors and glutes, which is where a lot of ITB pain actually starts.
If you’re dealing with nagging outside-of-knee pain on runs, this is a good place to start. Reach out if you want a plan built around your specific case.
