The Clinical Supervisor will provide individual supervision for two to three Master’s-level intern counselors-in-training or pre-licensed clinicians. The Clinical Supervisor will provide administrative and clinical support to interns and pre-licensed clinicians so they can foster their clinical skills and professional capacity within this framework. The Clinical Supervisor is also encouraged and reimbursed when participating in staff meetings; and will meet with the co-directors on a monthly basis for reporting to directors. All this work can be performed remotely or on-site.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Projects include offering one hour of individual supervision each week to assigned supervisees to assess their development through reflections and observation, provide feedback and document supervision provided.
• Review/sign clinician notes and review charting quality on a weekly basis.
• Provide clinical supervision in alignment with best practices, upholding policies,
procedures, forms, contracts, and agreements of Whole Connection.
• Support Whole Connection Diversity Equity Inclusivity program development (project
based).
• Assess quality of care of clients and develop clinical staff capacity and sustainability in
the following areas: systemic conceptualization, administrative effectiveness,
professional identity/approach, clinical skills and self-reflection/self-awareness.
• Provide ad hoc supervision for supervisees in response to client crisis situations.
• Meet periodically with supervisees’ academic support professionals.
• Contribute positively to Whole Connection culture, mission, goals, and outcomes.
• Model counselor and clinical supervisor-level professional identity, administrative
effectiveness, self-awareness, clinical judgment, ethical decision making, cultural
awareness and sensitivity.
• The supervisor will organize their own schedule based on assigned projects.
• The supervisor will submit invoicing for hours of service provided.
Minimum Requirements:
Educational degree/diploma required:
• Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Social Work, or Marriage and Family therapy
Minimum length of prior relevant professional experience required:
• Highest level of licensure for their profession (LCSW, LPC, LMFT)
• Three years OR 3,000 hours post-degree clinical expertise as a counselor
• A minimum six-clock hour training on supervision
• Maintain Colorado License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional
• Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
• Hold up to date malpractice insurance
Other Experience, Knowledge, Skills, or Competencies
• Experience working with BIPOC and marginalized populations and experience in supporting supervisees in working with BIPOC and marginalized populations
• Commitment to a diverse and inclusive community, understanding of the dynamics of privilege and oppression, and the impact these have on equity, access, and opportunity, as well as having capacity to address/work with these themes in counseling and support clinicians in their development about their own power and privilege dynamics
• Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred)
• Diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds (preferred)
• Experience working with Medicaid population and documentation requirements
(preferred)
• Paneled as a Medicaid provider (preferred)
• Proficiency in software programs (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Gmail etc) and
electronic medical or counseling record software
• Experience working and maintaining high levels of confidential information in a small
community
• Attention to detail, persistence, and follow-through
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of project teams
