The life of an independent artist is busy enough when just focusing in your own creative work. When you add advocacy, being a parent, co-founding a non-profit to empower creatives with digital infrastructure designed to support and not extract things sometimes dont happen as you planned

I've learned to let things land how they need to instead of forcing them. If I had a team and was resourced enough to have dedicated focus on my poetry business it would be a different case.

This journey is a marathon not a sprint. If things take a little time it's okay. I'll keep showing up and soon enough the other pieces will stabilize and give more support for this work.

Have you ever felt compelled beyond what felt reasonable to pursue something almost everyone said was futile?

That's what my life has been. It's been head down in the trenches of the independent art world as a poet. Poetry is considered the most futile of arts to pursue, even by those who believe in it's priceless value, then add the name Dank PHART on top of that and you've got a recipe for difficult squared and multipled to the power of ten.

This made it so I had to figure out an alternative then traditional means.

I'll be embarking on the evolution of this work Monday June 8th when the first post it note poem drops on metalabel.
