Happy Pride Month! Pride Month is a celebration of the LGBTQ+ community, but it is also a reminder that progress requires leadership willing to protect it.

Across the country, we are seeing attacks on LGBTQ+ students, support systems, diversity programs, healthcare access, and inclusive campus policies. Regents play an important role in protecting LGBTQ+ students, supporting inclusive campus policies, supporting LGBTQ+ student resource centers and mental health services, defending academic freedom, and ensuring that political pressure does not outweigh the university’s responsibility to support students.

As Regent, I will support policies that protect LGBTQ+ students and strengthen campus support systems, while making sure CU remains a place where LGBTQ+ students feel supported and continue to have access to the resources they need to succeed.
