An X1.3 flare was observed at 20:41 UTC on 04 Jul 2026 from newly numbered Sunspot Region 4482.

Moderate to briefly strong geomagnetic storm conditions observed overnight - disturbed conditions expected to continue into 05 July.

An X1.1 flare (R3-Strong) occurred at approx 30/2050 UTC from Region 4479 in the north center disk. Analysis will be conducted when imagery becomes available to determine if an Earth-directed CME was associated with this event.
