Maji Safi Group educates the communities of Shirati, Tanzania and parts of the US about disease prevention, health promotion, and WASH practices.
On 28 May 2026, Maji Safi Group joined the Nyabikondo community in commemorating Menstrual Hygiene Day under the theme “Together for a Period-Friendly World.” The event brought together community leaders, religious leaders, representatives of the Nyabikondo School Board, pupils, and community members to promote menstrual health and hygiene awareness and foster a supportive, period-friendly environment for all.
The day featured traditional dances, menstrual hygiene songs performed by club and non-club participants, drama presentations demonstrating the proper use of menstrual hygiene products, interactive discussions on the MHH theme, and the distribution of emergency disposable pads, and other needs
Through these activities, Maji Safi Group strengthened community awareness, encouraged open dialogue, and advanced collective efforts toward creating a more inclusive and menstrual-friendly society.
