Dear BIDC Community,

We are arriving at the beginning of our 2021-2022 BIDC season and invite you to renew your membership. Please visit http://www.thebidc.org to sign up.

The Board has prepared an exciting schedule of programs for this season. Our first program will be September 1 at 12PM via Zoom. Our speaker will be Gretchen Fair, an Education Associate with Blue Sky Bridge. Gretchen will present on recognizing and understanding child sexual abuse, handling disclosures, and the basics of mandated reporting. This is a unique opportunity to gain a better understanding of these complex situations. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers.

For future presentations, we are monitoring current COVID-19 risks on a monthly basis to decide if we can add in-person attendance to our programs. Programs will continue to be offered via Zoom. We will announce whether a program may be attended in-person on the monthly program announcement.

I encourage you to renew your membership today. Not only does your membership allow BIDC to continue to provide excellent programming for the community, but here are the benefits membership provides to you:
- Access to attend continuing education programs and receive the appropriate credits for CLE and CE
- Listing in the BIDC online directory (only current members will be listed starting August 31, 2021),
- Access to recordings of 2021-2022 presentations if you miss a presentation live,
- Access to the BIDC’s video programs and materials library (including access to 5 hours of programs from 2020-2021),
- Access to an incredible network of experienced professionals and more…

Here are some of the programs that are in the works for the 2021-2022 season:
- Understanding Child Sexual Abuse and Mandated Reporting
- Child Support Update 2021
- Reverse Mortgages-Solutions to Solve Common Late-Life Divorce
- Annual Family Law Appellate Case Update

More to come. Check http://www.thebidc.org for updates on specific programs and their scheduling.
