Our bottle-feeding team spent the weekend learning from the person who literally wrote the book on saving kittens. 📚🐾

Training with Hannah Shaw () was equal parts educational, inspiring, and dangerously encouraging for anyone considering adding "just one more foster kitten" to their home.

We're grateful for the opportunity to continue growing our skills so we can provide the best possible care for the tiniest, most fragile kittens who need us.

🐾 Bean of the Week: Ruth

Ruth may be small, but she’s already showing us just how resilient she is.

This 11-week-old Chihuahua puppy came to us through a transfer from our partners at Denver Animal Shelter. She was originally named Cookie, but her foster gave her a fresh start with a new name—Ruth—and it suits her perfectly.

Ruth has been diagnosed with cerebellar hypoplasia (CH).

CH is a neurological condition that affects coordination and balance. It happens when the cerebellum (the part of the brain that controls movement) doesn’t fully develop. The result? A signature wobble, a little extra sway, and some unsteady steps.

The important thing to know: CH is not painful and it is not progressive.
Dogs (and cats!) with CH can live happy, full lives—they just move through the world a little differently.

Ruth will need a safe environment, supportive care, and a home that understands her unique needs—but she’s already proving she has plenty of personality and determination to go with that wobble.

This is exactly what the Tiny Toe Beans Project is all about—giving animals with special medical needs the support they need to thrive.
