🚨 Major Flash Flood Threat This Week 🚨
A life-threatening multi-day flash flood event is unfolding across parts of the Lower Mississippi and Ohio Valleys.
🌧️ Wed (4/2):
➡️ Moderate Risk from eastern AR to central KY
➡️ 2–4" of rain expected, isolated spots up to 8"
➡️ Cities at risk: Memphis, Little Rock, Nashville

🌧️ Thurs (4/3):
🔴 High Risk for SE MO to western KY
➡️ Additional 2–4", locally 7"+
➡️ Paducah, Union City, and areas near Memphis are under highest threat

🌧️ Fri (4/4):
➡️ Moderate Risk shifts northwest
➡️ 3–6" likely across southern MO, northern AR, southern IL

⚠️ Flash flooding will be widespread and dangerous, especially in urban areas and along major routes like I-55 & I-69.

Southern California: Battling relentless winds, keeping fire danger high.
Elsewhere in the U.S.: Snow, ice, and bitter cold dominate the forecast.

🚨 Alerts Across the Country:

🔥 Southern California continues to battle fires, with the Palisades Fire at 59% containment and the Eaton Fire at 87%. Dry, windy conditions remain a concern, raising the risk of new fires.
🚩 Red Flag Warning: Fire danger is high with critical conditions expected in the next 12–24 hours.
🚒 Fire Weather Watch: Potentially dangerous fire conditions forecast for the next 24–36 hours.

🌬High winds are particularly dangerous in Southern California, where they contribute to the ongoing fire threat. Other regions experiencing high or extreme winds include areas near Cheyenne, WY; the Shoshone National Forest in WY; the California–Arizona border; and southern Texas.
🍃 High Wind Warning: Sustained winds of 40+ mph or gusts of 58+ mph are expected.
🍃 Wind Advisory: Sustained winds of 31–39 mph or gusts of 46–57 mph may occur.
