National Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month

Each year, Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) takes the lives of hundreds of thousands of Americans. Studies show survival from SCA can be doubled or tripled if CPR is administered until emergency medical services arrive. Recognizing a sudden cardiac arrest event and knowing how to proceed can save a life.

If you find someone unresponsive and not breathing normally, take the following steps:

-Send someone for an AED

-Check for responsiveness

-Call 911

-Push hard and fast, center of the chest

-Keep going until help arrives

All and ambulances are equipped with a mechanical CPR device and video laryngoscopes in addition to the normal array of medications and equipment in order to best serve our patients.

We're excited that our new co-branded ambulances were deployed within the past week! These and several others have rolled out recently and replaced older vehicles in our Fleet.
