The school children in Casa Ccunca, Peru greeted us with balloons and put paper mache streamers around our necks. We joined them in the Peruvian and U.S. National Anthems.

Next up...China Mental Health Summit, coming this October. After that, Peru in April 2016. Join us to help those in need by "learning together" with professionals. Help others by helping those who help others! Since 2007, Reach Out & Learn volunteers have trained thousands of professionals who specialize in obstetrics, anesthesiology, public health issues, nursing, orthopedics, emergency medicine, disaster response, dental health and leadership.

Join us at one of our two upcoming events in April 2015 in Peru or China.

In Peru we will train doctors, nurses, and midwives on laparoscopy, colposcopy, and other techniques to address women's health needs. Participants will also have experiences in mountain villages, interacting and teaching school children.

In China, our group is primarily Utah Valley University Community and Public Health students and faculty. We will have a training meeting with Chinese public health students, faculty, and professionals, where our participants will have opportunities to present topics and information on Chinese health concerns. You don't need to be a student, faculty, or professional to join us as we need your help in many activities related to help those in need by training those who help those in need!

We are leaving for Peru this Friday, March 9th. We are taking 27 people with us to hold Public Health, Anesthesiology, Emergency Responders, and Women & Infant Health humanitarian conferences in Cusco. We have invited local (Native) professionals to attend for free! We will also have humanitarian projects in mountain villages (around 13,000 feet altitude) where we will install and train villagers on 2-liter sky lights, rocket stoves, solar ovens, and water pasteurization indicators (WAPIs).
