Did you know your commercial building inspection will include examining your fire extinguishers? The inspector will look for portable extinguishers that should be readily available and visible. Any building with commercial cooking equipment that uses cooking oil or fat will need to have a fire extinguisher stored no farther than 30-feet away.

One test that lead inspectors use in homes involves the use of x-ray fluorescence to determine if paint contains lead. Since this type of testing uses equipment that contains radioactive materials, it should only be completed by a professional.
