🚨 Federal Charges Announced in Death of 14-Year-Old McKenna Wendel

3 months after 14-year-old McKenna Wendel was found dead in rural Brookings County, South Dakota, federal authorities have announced charges against two men, including the uncle who was among the last people known to have seen her alive.

During a press conference this afternoon, prosecutors revealed that 51-year-old Mark Milk has been indicted on charges including distribution of co***ne resulting in death, transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, possession with intent to distribute THC, and conspiracy to conceal evidence.

A second man, 38-year-old Jon Rogness, was also charged with conspiracy to conceal evidence and accessory after the fact.

The charges provide the clearest picture yet of what investigators believe happened after McKenna disappeared on March 13.

When McKenna first went missing, authorities said she had been babysitting before accepting a ride from her uncle. Investigators later alleged that instead of bringing her home, he dropped his own children off elsewhere and continued driving with McKenna.

The case drew national attention after disturbing details emerged, including a mysterious Snapchat message sent to McKenna’s best friend stating, “He has her now.”

McKenna’s body was discovered on March 19, nearly a week after she vanished.

During today’s press conference, authorities said the investigation stretched across South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota and involved extensive digital evidence, witness interviews, and coordination between multiple agencies.

🕊️ Rest in peace, McKenna.

‼️ Court Update: Mimi Torres Garcia

Followers of the Mimi Torres Garcia case may be waiting much longer for answers.

According to reports, Mimi’s mother, Karla Garcia, is expected to have her upcoming court proceedings moved as attorneys seek a change of venue in an effort to secure a fair jury. The case involves a significant amount of discovery, including text messages, photographs, iCloud records, expert evaluations, and other evidence that attorneys are still reviewing involving all three defendants.

Karla Garcia was expected back in court on June 26 alongside her sister and co-defendant, Jackelyn Garcia. Meanwhile, Jonatan Nanita remains scheduled to appear in court on June 30. At this time, it is unclear whether the other defendants’ court dates will also be affected.

In a recent statement, Karla said she has been cooperating with investigators and believes responsibility for Mimi’s death extends to all three of the accused parties. She also stated that her defense is estimating the legal process could take as long as two years before the case reaches trial.

While many people are eager for answers, major criminal cases often move slowly, especially when investigators, prosecutors, and defense attorneys are working through large volumes of evidence.

For now, the wait continues. As frustrating as the delays may be, we hope the time spent reviewing every piece of evidence, every record, and every allegation will ultimately ensure that those responsible are held fully accountable.

Mimi’s name has not been forgotten. We will continue following every court hearing, filing, and development as this case moves through the justice system and more answers come to light.

❤️ Justice for Mimi.

🚨 Body Found Matching Missing South Carolina Personal Trainer Elena Moore’s Description

Authorities in Lexington, South Carolina, announced earlier today that a body has been discovered matching the description and clothing of missing 39-year-old personal trainer Elena Katherine Moore, who vanished after leaving a gym nearly a week ago.

Officials have not yet formally identified the body, and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office is awaiting confirmation.

Moore was last seen on surveillance video leaving a Planet Fitness on June 11th walking toward a wooded area behind a nearby Lowe’s store. Her disappearance was described by investigators as “very out of character,” prompting an extensive search involving drones, multiple agencies, and widespread public attention.

Police have not released a cause of death, nor have they announced whether foul play is suspected.

Earlier this week, authorities said there was no evidence of foul play and that her husband was not considered a person of interest.

💔 She Escaped After Being Stabbed—But Her Children Were Still Inside

Authorities in Lucas County, Ohio, say a woman managed to escape her home after allegedly being stabbed by her boyfriend. But when she got out, her two young children were still trapped inside with him.

The suspect barricaded himself inside the residence with the children, leading to a tense standoff and a large law enforcement response. SWAT teams were called to the scene as deputies worked to safely resolve the situation.

For hours, the children’s mother could do nothing but wait. Then came the moment that has touched so many people online.

A photo released from the scene showed the mother, wrapped in a blanket, embracing her children after deputies brought them safely out of the home. The image captures the relief, fear, and emotion of a mother finally holding her babies again after not knowing how the ordeal would end…

Thankfully, authorities say both children were rescued safely and the suspect was taken into custody. Reports indicate he is facing charges that include felonious assault and domestic violence.

While investigators continue piecing together exactly what happened inside the home, one thing is clear: this situation could have ended very differently.

Instead, two children made it out safely, a mother survived, and a family was reunited after what was likely the most terrifying day of their lives. 💙

Court records and additional details regarding the suspect’s charges are expected as the case moves forward.

💔 She Ran Away, Asked for Help, and Showed Police Her Injuries—Months Later, She Was Dead.

A gut-wrenching child abuse case out of Arizona is drawing renewed attention after newly released records revealed that 10-year-old Rebekah Baptiste allegedly told authorities she was being abused months before her death.

Rebekah ran away from home in October 2024 and made it to a nearby gas station, where she asked strangers for help. When officers arrived, records indicate she reported ongoing abuse and showed them visible injuries, including bruises on her hands and feet and a bloody lip.

Rebekah allegedly told officers that she was hit with a hairbrush, struck with a belt, forced to perform strenuous exercise as punishment, and treated more harshly than her siblings in the home.

Despite those allegations, the investigation was eventually closed, and Rebekah was returned home.

Just nine months later, on July 27, 2025, Rebekah was found unconscious and severely injured. She died three days later.

According to investigators, Rebekah suffered extensive bruising across her body, missing toenails, clumps of hair loss, burn marks consistent with possible cigarette burns, and injuries that ultimately led authorities to add sexual abuse-related charges.

Her father, Richard Baptiste, and his girlfriend, Anicia Woods, have been charged in connection with the 10-year-old’s death. Both have pleaded not guilty. While the trial was expected to begin this month, the dates were postponed and have yet to be rescheduled.

What has many people outraged isn’t just the criminal allegations—it’s the fact that Rebekah allegedly tried to tell people what was happening. She sought help, reported abuse, and showed visible injuries, yet many believe more could have been done to protect her.

How could a little girl run away, ask for help, report abuse, and show visible injuries, only to end up back in the same environment? It’s a question that continues to haunt those following the case.

💔 Rebekah Baptiste asked for help, showed her injuries, and tried to get away. Why were her cries for help not enough?

🚨 Convicted Adoptive Fathers to Learn Their Fate This Week in Babies Death

This week, a jury has found adoptive fathers Jamie Varley and John McGowan-Fazakerley guilty in the heartbreaking death of 13-month-old Preston Davey.

Preston was placed with the couple in April 2023 and died just three months later in July 2023.

During trial, jurors heard disturbing evidence that Preston suffered more than 40 injuries before his death. Prosecutors argued the abuse was prolonged and systematic, with medical experts describing injuries that occurred over time rather than from a single incident.

When first responders were called, authorities were told that Preston had drowned during a bath. But as investigators dug deeper, they discovered the evidence painted a very different picture. 😔

Medical experts testified that Preston died from acute upper airway obstruction, and prosecutors argued that the obstruction was caused by either smothering or by an object (or objects) being inserted into his mouth, blocking his airway. Prosecutors alleged the 13-month-old suffered months of horrific abuse before his tragic death, leaving many questioning how such suffering went unnoticed for so long.

Jamie Varley was convicted of murder, sexual assault, child cruelty, causing grievous bodily harm, and child abuse image offenses. John McGowan-Fazakerley was convicted of allowing Preston’s death, child cruelty, and sexual assault-related charges.

As details continue to emerge, many are asking how Preston could have endured so much without someone stepping in. With several hospital visits documented before his death, followers of the case continue to question how warning signs were missed and whether earlier intervention might have saved his life.

Sentencing is expected tomorrow, June 18th.

💙 Rest in peace, Preston.

🚨 Stepbrother Accused in Anna Kepner Cruise Ship Murder Ordered Into Federal Custody Pending Trial

A federal judge has ordered 16-year-old Timothy Hudson into federal custody as he awaits trial in the death of his 18-year-old stepsister, Anna Kepner.

The judge found that clear and convincing evidence had been presented showing that Hudson poses a danger to the community and that no combination of release conditions could reasonably ensure public safety.

Hudson, who is being tried as an adult on charges of first-degree murder and aggravated sexual abuse, had been living with family under electronic monitoring following his arrest. After months of legal disputes regarding his release status, the court ordered that he be detained pending trial.

Hudson reported to the federal courthouse in Tampa, yesterday, where he was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals.

Anna, a Titusville, FL, teenager— was found dead aboard the Carnival Horizon in November 2025 while the ship was sailing in international waters. Because the alleged crime occurred outside the jurisdiction of any individual state, the case is being prosecuted in federal court.

Hudson has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

While many are calling the judge’s decision a step toward justice, others who have closely followed the case say they still struggle to view any outcome as true justice for Anna.

Much of the public discussion has centered around allegations that Anna had previously expressed concerns and fears regarding her stepbrother, leading some to question whether warning signs may have been overlooked and why the two were allegedly still allowed to share accommodations during the family cruise.

🚨 D4vd Arrested in Connection with Celeste Rivas Hernandez's Murder

David Burke, the 21-year-old singer known as D4vd, has been arrested in connection with the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez (13 when missing).

Her decomposed body was found in a Tesla registered to Burke in September 2024 after the car was abandoned in Hollywood. Despite the discovery, Burke remained free for several months, prompting widespread frustration over the delay in his arrest.

Now, Burke is behind bars without bond, facing murder charges, though his legal team denies any wrongdoing, asserting that he has only been detained under suspicion. The Los Angeles District Attorney's Office will soon decide whether to formally charge him.

Burke’s arrest follows months of investigation. Evidence, including surveillance footage, shows the Tesla being driven by someone connected to him, and authorities later seized items from his residence.

The case has sparked further unease due to connections between D4vd’s music and the circumstances surrounding Hernandez's death. Fans and critics have pointed out disturbing "breadcrumbs" in his songs that seem to reference the tragedy, fueling suspicion of his involvement.

The relationship between D4vd and Celeste, including allegations of grooming a young girl, has drawn heavy criticism. Many believe he exploited Celeste, preventing her from experiencing a life outside of his manipulative control.

With Burke in custody, the justice system will now decide what comes next. As his trial unfolds, the hope remains that Celeste’s family will find peace, and that justice will be served for a young girl whose life was tragically cut short. 💔

😢 Inside the FedEx Truck: The Heartbreaking Final Moments of 7 Year Old Athena Strand

In the trial of Tanner Horner, the man who kidnapped and brutally killed 7-year-old Athena Strand, the court was blown away by surveillance footage and haunting audio recordings that left everyone in the courtroom without a dry eye.

The bone-chilling footage, captured from Horner’s assigned FedEx truck, shows Athena Strand and Horner initially talking—seemingly harmless conversation about her school and everyday life. Not long after, Horner covered the cameras with sticky notes. Though the cameras were black, the audio continued recording, and what followed has forever altered the course of this trial.

Athena, growing uneasy, asked Horner, “Why are you doing this?” To which Horner chillingly responded, “It’s because you’re pretty. You know that, don’t you?”

As the truck continued to drive, Athena repeatedly asked, “Where are we going?” and “Are you a kidnapper?” But no answer came, only the increasing dread of the unknown.

Eventually, the truck came to a halt, and things took an even darker turn. Horner instructed Athena to remove her shirt. Her voice was heard pleading, “My mama says nobody should be doing this to me. She said I can’t do this to other people, and you can’t do it to me.” Her innocence in that moment is heartbreaking, as she tried to reason with a predator.

Though the assault was not seen on video, the sounds of Athena’s distress were unmistakable. The audio captures her crying out in pain, saying “Ouch, ouch, ouch” and “I want my mama” repeatedly. The audio was terrifying, as Athena endured an hour of torment and torture, her cries for help echoing in the truck.

“Jingle Bell Rock” began to play, and in a twisted display of indifference, Horner started singing along as Athena cried hysterically, begging for mercy. He repeatedly told her to “shut up,” warning that if she didn’t, he would hurt her more. The brutal assault continued in the back of the van, where the cameras had been covered, ensuring that there would be no further evidence captured on film.

As the abuse continued, stomping sounds and a struggle could be heard over and over, eventually the noises faded to silence, followed by sudden gasps of air, moaning and crying, signaling that Athena had likely passed out from the physical abuse, but it was not enough to kill her. She was strong and fought to stay alive.

Horner repeatedly choked and beat Athena as his FedEx truck was pulled over, his flashers blinked, and unsuspecting drivers passed by, assuming he was simply making a delivery while he was torturing a young girl to death inside.

The court was left in a state of shock and heartbreak as the family of Athena left the room, overcome with emotion. Tanner Horner, the man accused of this heinous crime, covered his face and looked down as the horrific details were revealed. Forensic evidence, including DNA found on Athena’s body, further confirmed the sexual violence and the horrific nature of his actions. This was not a random act, but a premeditated, calculated killing.

As the trial continues, Horner’s defense is set to face an uphill battle. Expert testimony may attempt to explain his actions, citing factors such as fetal alcohol syndrome, childhood trauma, or other possible conditions, but the haunting audio and video recordings leave no doubt about the wickedness of his crime.

Athena Strand was a young girl whose life was brutally and unfairly taken from her, her final moments captured in a way that no one will ever forget.

Her family, her community, and everyone who has heard the recordings are left with one undeniable truth: this was a torturous, premeditated act of murder that has forever changed the lives of those who loved her.

The courtroom, filled with tears and heartbreak, was forced to face the horrors of what occurred that day—and now, the world knows too.

Tanner Horner doesn’t deserve to see the light of day ever again; this is one of the hardest cases we have ever followed. He deserves no mercy.

May God continue to be with Athena’s parents and siblings, giving them strength; this should have never happened. May justice be served so that sweet girl can rest peacefully. 🕊️
