These bracelets are chain maile jewelry. One can go back in history to the middle of the 1st millennium BC to discover when the art of making chain maille began. Craftsmen connected small metal rings by hand to create a mesh that was used as armor material to form a shirt that would protect a soldier in battle.

Nowadays jewelry artists can connect rings of various metals into designated weaves. There are several patterns. These are two simple ones. I am just learning and hope to graduate to the more difficult soon. It takes about an hour to make these. Difficult ones could take several hours to a few days.
