Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series Season Concludes on October 11 with $10,053 Dixie Nationals
(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) The Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals Series presented by Coltman Farms Racing and fueled by GoSunoco season will officially conclude on Saturday evening, October 11 at the historic Dixie Speedway. In an event postponed by rain back on May 3, a $10,053 first place prize will be up for grabs at the Woodstock Georgia facility. The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Franklin Enterprises will co-sanction the Dixie Nationals, which will carry a total purse of over $31,000.
With the points for the Spring Nationals already decided and Garrett Smith celebrated as the miniseries Champion, there will be no championship points on the line this Saturday at Dixie Speedway. However, the Dixie Nationals will serve as the final race for the Coltman Farms Cup, which has spanned through the entirety of the Spring Nationals and Southern Nationals tours and includes only events that pay $10,000 or more. Garrett Smith also leads the Coltman Farms Cup standings over Jimmy Owens, Mike Benedum, Kaede Loudy, and Wil Herrington.
On Saturday, October 11, the pit gates and the tailgate area will open at 3:00pm, while fans will be allowed into the grandstands starting at 5:00pm. The drivers meeting is set for 6:30pm and racing action will light up the track at 7:00pm. Grandstand tickets are $35.00 for adults, $10.00 for students ages 13-17, and FREE for children ages 12 and under. Tailgate tickets are $35.00 for adults, $10.00 for students ages 6-10, and FREE for children ages 5 and under. Pit passes are $50.00 for adults, $10.00 for students ages 6-10, and FREE for children ages 5 and under.
Joining the Super Late Models on the Dixie Nationals racing card will be the 602 Late Models ($1,200 to win), Open Wheel Modifieds ($1,000 to win), Stingers ($1,000 to win), and 602 Beginners ($500 to win). Capping off the action-packed evening will be a Junkyard Dawg Enduro race paying $2,500 to the winner of a 100-lap contest. Dixie Speedway is located at 150 Dixie Drive in Woodstock, GA 30189. The track phone number is 770-926-5315 or you can learn more online at www.dixiespeedway.com.
Super Late Model body rules and the Droop Rule will be the same as those agreed on by both the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series - among others. Since it is a Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series point event, the race will be contested under SAS rules, which can be found online at www.sasdirt.com. The entry fee will be $120.00 and transponders will be available to rent. Any driver not advancing into the feature field will receive $75.00 in tow money. If you can’t make it to Dixie Speedway on October 11, watch every lap LIVE on FloRacing.
