NBK-BANGOR - MILITARY UNITS TO CONDUCT EXERCISES ON HOOD CANAL JULY 9-10

Military units will be conducting on-water combat training exercises in the Hood Canal between the Hood Canal Bridge and the Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor waterfront overnight July 9-10. During this time, on-base personnel and local residents could hear blank fire, explosions from training munitions, and observe small boat maneuvers. For your safety, avoid the vicinity of the training. The military routinely conducts these types of exercises to ensure readiness of forces.

NBK-BANGOR – NBK SECURITY FORCES TO CONDUCT EXERCISES JUNE 22-26
Naval Base Kitsap Security Forces will be conducting training exercises at Olympic Pier from June 22-26, between the hours of 0900-1500. During this time, personnel can expect to receive ATHOC exercise messages, hear Giant Voice announcements, and observe training which may include swimmers, submersibles, and an increase in activity from Security Forces while responding to simulated emergencies. The Navy routinely conducts these types of training exercises, which ensure readiness and verify response procedures.
