Rust & Redemption

We are still processing the items from last week’s estate sale. However, we finally began sorting through the smaller items today.
While we typically do not go to very many estate sales, last weekend’s local sale proved to be very successful for us. I am always drawn to items from our hometown that hold sentimental value. On Saturday, I discovered numerous vintage large and small items from local establishments. However, when I noticed a basket filled with vintage pins, I had a hunch that I could find one or two for my pickin’ jacket, which is covered with old patches. I immediately spotted one that caught my eye and I decided not to waste time sorting through the pins. I made an exceptionally low offer for the basket and all the pins, and he readily accepted. I was shocked and so excited! 😱
Today, I finally started sorting them and was pleasantly surprised not only by the quantity of vintage local pins but also by the fact that he had labeled each pin with its origin and year. I appreciate when individuals take the time to document their purchases. You will see at the end of the video the pin that initially piqued my interest and convinced me that I would want this basket full. I collect any item I find that is from there, within reason. We also found a great piece that is also from there that I have absolutely no room for, but I hope goes to a good home. I will
