Sometimes a wedding stops being “work” and turns into a time machine.

I’ve known Hannah’s parents for a long, long time. Phil and I are the kind of friends who wouldn’t help each other avoid trouble… we’d just end up sitting in the next cell together. (And yes, I’m still calling it The Fairview Incident.)

Even though we don’t get to see each other as much as we should, when we do, it feels like no time has passed. So watching Phil give his daughter away—watching Hannah walk in as this glowing, beautiful bride with the BEST smile—was equal parts proud and right in the feels. There’s just something different about being there for the big moments of people who knew you back when you were young and dumb (emphasis on dumb).

All day I kept hearing one phrase in my head: “Shoot how it feels, not how it looks.”
So yes—there’s dramatic skies, soft light, and all the pretty details… but what I want you to see is the real stuff: the nervous smiles, the deep breaths, the tears that tried to hide, the laughter that didn’t.

Hannah + Michael… thank you for trusting me with your day. Phil & family… thank you for letting me be there for one of the biggest chapters.

Because in the end, the photos you treasure most aren’t the ones that look perfect—
they’re the ones that feel like love.
