After several clients asking- we are adding a new service.

We are partnered with our contractor & adding "Honey Do List 2 in 1 Sessions".

Many of our clients have a rehab- remodel- maintenance list that exceeds their capacity to handle.

We have introduced our contractor to many of our clients, & have successfully knocked out your home/business "honey do list" ranging from complete room remodel, to flooring, painting, closet system build-outs for your homes, garages or businesses, etc.

All while we organize.

Do you have a Honey Do List?

We can get it done.

Consultation required for estimate & approval. Limited spots available each month.

30 Day Reset Day 10

IMPORTANT TOPIC- those between ages 70 & up.

Who helps them?

There are so many safety hazards when we leave our elders living in cluttered environments.

Were you aware that 40% of our clientele are between the ages of 70-92?

Yes, you heard that correct- they understand that they deserve a clutter free home.

A very cluttered home can have a significant impact on an older adult's physical health, mental well-being, & ability to live independently.

While clutter sometimes reflects a home full of memories & possessions that bring comfort, excessive clutter generally creates more risks than benefits.

- Possible benefits- There can be a few perceived positives:

Emotional comfort: Familiar belongings may provide a sense of security & remind the person of important life experiences.

Sense of identity: Collections, family heirlooms, & keepsakes can reinforce personal history & independence.

Reduced anxiety about letting go: Some older adults feel more in control when they keep possessions they believe they may need in the future.

Convenience (from their perspective): They may know exactly where certain items are, even if the home appears disorganized to others.

Downsides- The disadvantages often outweigh the benefits when clutter becomes excessive.

Safety risks:
Increased risk of trips & falls from shoes, boxes, cords, bags, & loose items.

Difficulty using walkers, canes, or wheelchairs.

Blocked exits during emergencies.

Greater fire hazards from overloaded electrical outlets, cords, or combustible materials.

Delayed emergency response if first responders cannot move through the home.

Health concerns:
Dust, mold, & allergens can worsen asthma & breathing problems.

Pests such as mice or insects may become more common.

Difficulty keeping the home clean & sanitary.

Increased risk of infections if spills or waste accumulate.

Physical strain:
More bending, reaching, & climbing over objects, increasing injury risk.

Fatigue from navigating narrow pathways.

Greater difficulty completing daily activities such as cooking, bathing, or dressing.

Mental & emotional effects:
Feeling overwhelmed by the amount of possessions.

Increased stress & anxiety.

Embarrassment about inviting family or friends into the home.

Social isolation due to avoiding visitors.

Depression may worsen when the environment feels out of control.

Medication & healthcare issues:
Lost medications.

Missed medical appointments because important papers are misplaced.

Difficulty locating hearing aids, glasses, dentures, or medical equipment.

Nutrition:
Kitchen counters may be too cluttered to prepare healthy meals.

Expired food can go unnoticed.

Refrigerator & pantry may become disorganized, leading to food waste or foodborne illness.

Independence:
As clutter grows, everyday tasks become more difficult.

Family members or caregivers may need to provide increasing assistance.

The risk of hospitalization, rehabilitation, or moving into assisted living may increase if safety hazards are not addressed.

Financial consequences:
Paying late fees because bills are lost.

Buying duplicate items because existing ones cannot be found.

Higher costs for emergency cleaning or repairs.

Potential home maintenance issues that become expensive over time.

What helps:
For many older adults, the goal is not to make the home look perfect—it is to make it safe, functional, and comfortable.

Helpful priorities include:

Clearing walking paths throughout the home.

Removing loose electrical cords & trip hazards.

Keeping stairs free of boxes, bags, & other items.

Creating an organized system for medications & important documents.

Reducing clutter gradually, one room or one category at a time.

Preserving meaningful keepsakes while letting go of items that no longer serve a purpose.

Involving family members, caregivers, or a professional organizer when appropriate.

For an elderly person, even modest improvements in organization can greatly reduce fall risk, improve confidence, make caregiving easier, and support independent living for longer.
