on august 5, 2001 the gloucester fishermen’s wives association (gfwa) dedicated this monument, sculpted by morgan faulds pike over two years, to honor the wives, mothers, sisters, and children of the gloucester fishermen.

this year we celebrated the 20th anniversary by lighting up the monument to the rhythm of sound installation for just one night. but these gorgeous photos captured by will make it last longer.

produced by with the guidance of the gfwa, and supported by so many people and institutions, we were able to make it happen despite the rain, which was with us the whole time (except at the end of the event, of course).
