Thanks to Trent and the Riverside-Brookfield Landmark for covering the new performance space in the courtyard of the Brookfield Shops.

The Brookfield Theater and Glaser Players will be producing a special event in the new courtyard in October. Stay tuned to hear details!

Brookfield will beautify the Brookfield Shops courtyard - Riverside-Brookfield Landmark Big changes are coming to the courtyard behind the Brookfield Shops retail incubator at Progress Park off Eight Corners.

This is the first step in our efforts to bring the performing arts to Brookfield! Keep watching for news about actual performances in the space!

We are hopeful that we will have the opportunity to speak with developers interested in this property about our interest in occupying space in a new development.

If you know me, you know about my passion for theater and community theater in particular. Myself and a group of other community theater nerds are trying to start a new group in Brookfield and part of our plan is to take this old theater building and bring it back as a performing arts center. The Village of Brookfield has been very supportive of our efforts, but now it is time for us to show them how serious we are! Turning this building back into a theater has been a dream of mine for many years and now with your support, we have a chance to make it happen. I would appreciate any support you can provide and ask that you consider coming out to the meeting on Monday September 23 at 7:00 pm. We are working on a proposal for the conversion, that will be posted on our website (www.brookfieldtheaterbuilding.com) later this week.

If you love theater, it is time to stand up and be counted whether you live in Brookfield or not! Theater geeks of the world unite! It would mean the world to me!
