I started my charity from a place of deep love, grief, and understanding.

It was born for the husband I will never meet—not because he didn’t exist, but because his life was shaped by pain long before love ever had a chance. As a child, he was hurt by the Catholic Church. Growing up, the words he heard at home and in the pews were the same: “fag,” “abomination,” “sin.” Week after week, year after year.

When he finally found the courage to be honest about who he was, his family disowned him. Not because he was cruel. Not because he lacked faith. But because the people and institutions meant to protect him taught fear instead of love.

That kind of harm doesn’t disappear when childhood ends. It shapes identity, relationships, safety, and self-worth. It confuses love with shame. It leaves people searching for meaning, wondering whether God rejected them—when in truth, it was people who failed.

My charity exists to say this clearly:
No child deserves to be harmed in the name of God.
No one’s identity is an abomination.
Faith should never be used as a weapon.

This work is about prevention, healing, accountability, and compassion. It’s about stopping harm before it begins and offering light where silence once lived. It’s about protecting children, supporting survivors, and making sure no one grows up believing they are broken because of who they are.

I didn’t start this charity out of anger.
I started it out of love—for the people who didn’t survive, for the ones still healing, and for the future we can choose to build differently.
