We are proud to celebrate Michelle Wong-Lawson, recipient of the Radical Listening Leadership Award! As Graham’s Director of Mental Health, Michelle has brought thoughtful, people-centered leadership to Graham. She has worked tirelessly to cultivate welcoming environments where all voices are valued, new ideas are welcomed, and teams feel supported.
Through intentional listening, open communication, and a strong commitment to promoting balance and well-being, Michelle encourages everyone around her to grow with confidence. Her ability to navigate complex challenges with empathy and respect reflects the very core of this award.

We’re still feeling inspired by our Alternatives to Foster Care Co-Design Summit, recently hosted in Hunts Point!
Building on the ideas brainstormed at the first Summit held last September, community members, parents, youth, and staff from Graham and our partners, Good Shepherd Services and the New York Foundling gathered to hear co-designed approaches that support families and reduce unnecessary family separation. We were also joined by special guest Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson.
We celebrated the co-design journey as three workgroups – Network of Support, Welcoming Families In, and Community Village – presented their pilot concepts for community-led supports.
In keeping with Graham’s legacy of innovation, the Summit marked an important milestone toward our Vision 2029, advancing our efforts to co-design new family- and community-rooted supports that provide helpful help™ and can ultimately help shape a future beyond the child welfare system.
