Today, we are so excited to share with you the new Saapato album, '& Pages Burn Like Candles,' the companion piece to last month's 'Seasons Turn Like Pages.'

The companion release to Saapato's last release, 'Seasons Turn Like Pages,' '& Pages Burn Like Candles' takes the compositions from the 'Seasons Turn Like Pages' and morphs them into an entirely different physical and emotional space. Constructed exclusively from the final masters of 'Seasons Turn Like Pages' and heavily manipulated field recordings, the album melts the original breezy, morning-flavored material down into something dusky and swamp-like. Together, the two albums function as a complete cycle, one documenting time slipping away, the other dwelling inside its residue. One glides through the trees with river-like motion, while the other smolders at the bottom of a marsh...

Tall Friend's first new album in nearly nine years, 'fossil,' is out everywhere today :)

'Fossil,' the first LP from the Boston via Philadelphia and Washington DC band since 2017’s 'Safely Nobody’s,' is eleven short songs, showcasing the evolution of Tall Friend. Originally recorded, mixed, and produced by long-time band member Jesse Paller in 2018, and featuring Cale Cuellar on bass, Jeremy Ray on guitar, and Paller on drums, 'fossil' collects songs written between 2017 and 2018, recorded in the same period, re-imagined and redefined by the later addition of Pfaff’s lower-register harmonizations. Pfaff made the distinct choice to initially begin recording the album prior to starting hormone therapy, and then to return to the studio a few months later when his voice had changed, layering his vocals together. Through this duality of co-ownership and authorship, Pfaff makes amends with, and says goodbye to, a past version of himself.
