Guidelines for submissions: Send all submissions /queries inquiries to: [email protected]
1.It is highly advisable to read the latest issue of CHURN, Vol. 2, No. 1, before submitting to determine if CHURN is right for your work. Copies may be ordered online, or acquired at B&N and better independent bookstores.
2.All submitted work must be either currently unpublished, or published only in an extremely limited edition. Contact us for information about any work intended for submission that has been previously published.
3.All submitted work must be original. Plagiarized or “borrowed” works will not be accepted.
4.POETS: Send no more than 5 sample pages of your best unpublished work.
5.PROSE FICTION/NON-FICTION WRITERS: Send 5 sample pages, plus a short synopsis of the work.
6.ALL POETS & WRITERS: After reading submitted samples, if we are interested in seeing more of your work, we will contact you. Allow 60 days for notification.
7.Do not send photographs, artwork, or other visual stimuli to the [email protected] email address.
8.An accompanying short writer’s bio is permissible, but all literature will be either accepted or rejected on the individual merit of the submitted work alone, and not because of former publishing credits, awards, or misc. connections or network, etc.
9.Simultaneous submissions are discouraged. If another publication accepts work that you have submitted to CHURN, please contact us immediately.
10.Electronic submissions are preferred. For paper, hardcopy submissions, send COPIES of the original documents only to: Michael Annis, Literary Director, P.O. Box 2411, Englewood, CO 80150
11.Include your name and all pertinent contact information with your submission.
12.As CHURN will be distributed in Europe soon, works by foreign poets & writers, or Americans abroad, are highly encouraged. Works must be pre-translated into English before submitting, and both the original language version and the translation should be submitted simultaneously.
