Major R. Owens Health & Wellness Community Center

The Major R. Owens Health & Wellness Community Center will close at 3pm today due to elevated indoor temperatures.
 
Unfortunately, the air conditioning system that services the center is not working properly. We have alerted the property managers responsible for HVAC operation and maintenance.
 
Our hope is to reopen tomorrow at our regular hours, if conditions improve. We will share an update this evening to confirm.

This Black History Month, we honor Major R. Owens, whose name we carry with pride and whose legacy inspires our mission. 

At the Major R. Owens Health & Wellness Community Center, every class, program and connection in our space is rooted in his vision for stronger, more empowered communities.

From youth programs to wellness classes to everyday moments of support—his legacy lives on each day in our center.

This Black History Month and always, we celebrate him together.

As winter weather conditions are expected to improve tomorrow, the Major R. Owens Health & Wellness Community Center will reopen Monday, January 26, with modified hours.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
• The Center will be open from 11am to 11pm.
• Program teams who operate out of the center will reach out directly if your activity is affected.

At this time, we anticipate a return to normal operating hours on Tuesday, January 27.
