Last weekend, in honor of Eid, we gathered with Black Beauty Club and La Mer for an intimate luncheon rooted in rest, restoration, and reflection 🌙

A moderated conversation with Tomi Talabi Ndeye Penda .peinda and Aysha Sow .sow , we discussed the realities of Black Muslim women across the diaspora, centering their beauty and rituals of self-preservation in their most authentic forms.

A study in stillness and intention, the afternoon unfolded through ritual with a grounded product immersion led by a Muslim esthetician .er.e.na , and extending into a guided reset shaped by breathwork and care. Here, beauty was not positioned as performance, but as practice, an ongoing return to self through touch, presence, and devotion.

As Ramadan teaches, fasting is both discipline and revelation. A foundation for reflection that extends beyond the timeframe itself, informing how we care for ourselves and our communities in more conscious, intentional ways.

Grateful to have supported a production where culture, wellness, and storytelling could exist in harmony, thoughtfully composed, deeply felt, and held with care.

The Black Beauty Club Beauty Vanguard Awards Dinner was more than a ceremony, it was a statement. A room filled with founders, innovators, storytellers, and culture shapers who are actively redefining the industry.

It was an honor to curate and lead an experience that felt intentional, elevated, and worthy of the brilliance in the room. From the lighting and staging to the flow of the program, every detail was designed to honor the amazing work of and community, those pushing beauty forward with courage and clarity.
