2:51:27 at the Jersey City Marathon. Boston Bound!

the only way out is through. this block started with the flu and foot injury that sidelined me for most of December and January. it was brutally cold throughout the entire block. I ran on *multiple* sub 20 degree days. i was scared by many of my workouts. it was tough. it wasn’t easy. but i powered through. i locked in.

the race yesterday was unreal. the first 20 miles felt like a breeze but after 21 i really had to grit it out. i had been practicing self talk throughout my training runs and it really came through here. i am excited for the future. for now, i am going to switch my focus to lowering my 5K and 10k before jumping into the NY marathon block in July/August.

shout outs to my family, the community and all the hills i faced while getting ready for this race. onwards !!
