I share this to demonstrate we can sell almost anything if you have a problem to solve, but no one benefits when the buildings get this close to worthless. No one. The entire tax system of nyc that pays for our social welfare state relies on these buildings being able to pay the enormous property taxes they can no longer pay. Buildings are selling for this type of price per unit because only half the building can even be rented at all.
