hey all, this is a profile on my cousin, who has always been a huge inspiration to me.

today marks the release of her second novel and, for interested NYC folks, she'll be at the strand on march 5th at 7pm discussing her work with lincoln michel (ticket link in the comments below).

one of my takeaways from this piece is that the conditions which foster what really feels like art (firstly to the producer and then, hopefully, to the audience) - even for someone of prodigious capacity - can be delicate. to me, this makes her pursuit of the realization of her new ideas even more admirable.

though this post is late in coming, I'd like to take a moment to thank for a wonderful time.

this party was 3+ years in the making, having been beset by all manner of obstacle, from weather and public safety concerns to the pandemic which shook us all. finally, we all got to meet up in the woods to do what we'd been hoping and planning to do and it was fantastic.

it has never been more apparent that the people make the party, from those who are literally creating the event, to those who staff it all the way down to those who attend and animate it with our energy.
