We're so close to reaching our goal! Thank you to my friends and supporters who have already reached out to show me where their money is going! Help me meet my donation matching challenge:
Please private message me a screenshot of your receipt or forward the email for donations to a Black Lives Matter, Black Maternal Health, or a Bail Fund. Let’s support the people on the ground right now who’s bodies, wellbeings, and futures are at risk. I will post my donation receipts when they are made.

Improving Perinatal Health Experiences and Outcomes MUST be a part of this revolution against racism.
I thank my friend and colleague Rachel O'Brien, IBCLC for inspiring me and challenging me with her Black Lives Matter matching donation drive. I know a great idea when I see one, so will be following her lead and doing the same. I usually don’t like sharing where our funds are distributed, but if it inspires others to give to worthy causes, I’m in.
The Parenting Studio and Kate DiMarco Ruck IBCLC will be matching donations up to $1000. We will divide our donations between:
Ancient Song Doula Services
https://www.ancientsongdoulaservices.com/about-us
and
Uzazi Village
http://www.uzazivillage.org
I have been motivated by the work and results of these two organizations and their drive to make birth better for their communities.

We’ve been in a CRISIS for years now Black women are dying 243% more than white women from pregnancy complications. This is not because black women are poor, uneducated, or irresponsible. It’s because their lives aren’t a priority in the medical industrial birth complex.
#
Black women are literally bleeding out, having infections, experiencing heart complications IN THE HOSPITAL and not receiving treatment.
#
Where are the riots!?.
#
It’s not just in the streets, black people are facing issues in all facets of life and there’s no one coming to save us. We gotta save us.
#
If you’re pregnant, especially right now, please hire a doula, do your research and try to align yourself with a provider that actually cares about you. YOU MATTER.
