Here’s my song Running Arounds for the Week 65. The prompt was to write a song about running This is a song about running around. I get on the elliptical more than I jog but I’ve found that a regular cardio routine improves my life on such a level that I’m very okay with writing a song that’s just like, hey cardio is good stuff. It’s also really silly, spring is in the air let’s have some fun!

I used my Yamaha MT50 four track tape machine to record it. Acoustic Guitar and Vocals on track 1, electric bass and backup vox on track 2, Novation Mininova Synthesizer and backup vox on track 3, and cajon with shakers on track 4. The tape machine always brings about these magical transformations that are unpredictable, but every time I’m happy with how it turned out. Thanks for listening!
