From safely operating emergency apparatus to developing wildland firefighting and chainsaw skills, each evolution prepares our future firefighters to respond safely and effectively when our community calls.

Ladder truck placement is critical to putting firefighters in the right position to get the job done safely and effectively. By utilizing the anchor points throughout the bucket with the proper harnesses, firefighters can confidently operate tools, like the torch and K12, while maintaining secure positioning. Training at night not only builds confidence in realistic conditions but also makes the torch and K12 look that much better in action. Every training opportunity prepares us for the next call. 🧑🏼‍🚒

Just after 3:30p on Thursday 7/16/26 HCFR responded for a hazmat incident in the 14000 block of Buczak Rd in Brooksville. A propane leak was reported after a lawn mower struck an underground propane tank cover. HCFR HazMat Technicians and firefighters identified a supply line from the tank to a generator was struck and were able to shut the propane tank off at the valve stopping the leak. No injuries were reported.

HCFR is on scene of a vehicle crash at Mondon Hill Road and Dryden Place. The intersection is currently block and both east and westbound lanes are shutdown. Crews are extricating patients from one of the vehicles. Expect delays until the crash is cleared.
