Do site-built homes and modular homes differ in their construction?
A site-built home and a modular home are constructed in essentially the same way. The primary distinction is that modular buildings are constructed off-site, in a factory, with a "head start" on the construction process. After that, they are transported in pieces to the construction site where they are put together in the same manner as an old-fashioned house. They follow the same standards and use the same building materials as conventional dwellings.
