There’s a GoFundMe account that’s been established to cover funeral expenses (anyone who’s had to transport someone from another country know), transportation expenses, & short-term living expenses.

They go to all areas of the hospitals, LTC, home health, flight nursing, school nursing, administration, nursing education & many other areas! Many go on for higher degrees & specialty certifications.

Blinn College ADN Program lost one of its star graduates & SJRHC one of its best nurses today--rest in peace James Million. Your love, compassion, modeling, knowledge, wisdom, calm, humor, & booming laughing voice will always be missed! Today 26 Blinn Nursing students were inducted into our new National Honor Society (Alpha Delta Nu, Beta Sigma Chapter) for ADN Programs. Congratulations!

Today 46 new ADN grads will be pinned. This is my last group of "baby" nurses before I retired. Congratulations to all of you--your hard work has paid off. I am very proud of you & feel privileged to have been a small part of your experience. Let's have 100% on NCLEX-RN & save yourselves some stress. Now go out & make this world a better place!!! May God continue to bless you all.

Guys & Gals--I just received a copy & finished reading a collection of poems by one of our ADN grads, Stacy R. (Little) Nigliazzo (ADN May 2006) & has a degree from TAMU in psychology as well. These poems will rivet you & pull you right into the ER where she has worked since graduation. in wonderfully mastered poetry, you will see the people, hear & smell the sounds & odors of the ER, feel the children's & old people's skin, and remember some very special patients that left their indelible mark on your lives. For those who haven't heard, Rebecca Powell Frederick (was Hysmith in nursing school) lost her battle with CA yesterday, 5/15/13. Go. To her FB page for details on her service which will be on Sat, 5/18/13. She was a classy lady, with a quick wit, strong faith, courage & caring beyond measure, & a heart as big as America. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. RIP Sweet Friend!

Aaron Sivils' visitation is Fri. at Hillier 6-8pm. Funeral is Sat. at Christ's Way Baptist Church 10-11am. Burial will be in the Aggie Field of Honor Cemetery. The church is on Copperfield Drive across from Tiffany Park in Bryan. Cherie & Nate appreciate everyone's prayers & support.

The Blinn "family" has another heartache. Nate & Cherie Sivils' son, Aaron, was killed in an MVA about 3AM today on his way to work as a firefighter. Nate is the Fire Science Director & was so proud of Aaron following in his footsteps. Cherie is one of our ADN grads. They are a close family. Aaron has a younger sister Katelyn. Please keep them in your thoughts & prayers. I will post service details when I can.
