The class made a profoundly positive impact on the seniors residing at the Legacy Nursing Facility.

Today our James Earl Rudder High School Principles of Community Service students had the opportunity to visit the Legacy Nursing Facility, and it was nothing short of amazing.

Our students arrived with flowers, handmade cards, and sweet treats lovingly prepared by Ms. Simpson and the Rudder Culinary program and they left with full hearts.

They spent time playing dominoes with some serious domino pros, sharing laughter, stories, and genuine connection.
And to make the day even more special, their teacher played the piano and sang, filling the room with music, joy, and memories.

The smiles on the residents’ faces said it all. Moments like these remind us that service isn’t just about giving—it’s about connection, compassion, and community.

Proud of our students for representing Rudder with heart. Bryan ISD Career & Technical Education

Rudder Principles of Community Service Needs Your Help!

On Thursday, December 12, our Principles of Community Service students will be visiting the Legacy Nursing Facility. Our mission is to bring joy, warmth, and companionship to the seniors during the holiday season.

Students will be spending meaningful time with the residents—delivering stuffed animals, holiday cards, flowers, baked goods, creating small flower arrangements, and playing games to make their day special.

To make this outreach possible, we need your support.
If you are able, please consider donating:
• Stuffed animals
• Board games (Checkers, Chess, Dominoes, etc.)
• Flowers or small vases for the students to create flower arrangements

Your generosity will help us give the seniors a memorable and heartfelt experience.
Thank you for helping us spread kindness and holiday cheer
